A Brief Overview
More is to come, once I have the time.

For U.S. Citizens
According to a post made by Under the Desk News on Threads, travellers going through U.S. Customs are being urged to use and travel with a burner phone without connections to email/social media. Since 2008, Customs and Border Patrol agents have had the power to legally search through travellers' cell phones and deny them entry solely due to the media found (note that this does not apply to U.S. citizens, as they cannot legally deny entry to citizens. However, I don't think that the government cares about what is or isn't legal anymore). They will be searching for media that is "hostile towards the U.S." (but this effectively means any media that is anti-Trump, anti-MAGA, etc.). U.S. citizens (and ideally, legal residents/green card holders) cannot be denied legal entry for refusing to provide passwords to these officers. However, visa holders may be at risk. More information is available through the ACLU at this link.

For Legal Residents
A tracker page will be linked here soon, with other information being hopefully embedded.

For Visa Holders and Travellers
According to a story initially broken by journalist Erin Reed on February 25th, Marco Rubio has put out a memo which may effectively bar transgender visa-seekers from entering the United States. It states that visas must "reflect an applicant's sex at birth". The document also states that this sex must be either male or female. According to Reed's report of the document, visa applicants that "[misrepresent] their purpose of travel or sex" could be determined permanently ineligible.
In March of 2025, an unnamed French scientist was barred from entering the U.S. for a conference solely based on his views towards the administration. French minister for higher education Phillipe Baptiste was the first to shed light on this event but has not named the scientist or the conference in question; he has stated that the scientist, on an assignment for the National Center for Scientific Research, was denied entry into Houston, Texas. Read about his situation here (Reuters, English) or ici (RFI et L'Agence France-Presse, Français).
