Tracking 47's Actions Towards the Erasure of Queerness
The far-right is gaining traction internationally. Keep yourself in the know about what is happening to queer science, research, health, social rights, and more.
May these queer and trans people lost to suicide and hate crimes rest in peace: Elisa Rae Shupe, Brianna Ghey, Sam Nordquist, Nex Benedict, Sarah Hegazi, Leelah Alcorn, O'Shae Sibley, the victims of both the Pulse and the Club Q shootings, and every other queer and trans individual that journalists have neglected to write about.

A Brief Overview (Historical Comparisons)
ON DATA CENSORSHIP: an action taken that is most alarming is the effort taken to wipe queer data and research off of government websites, as well as the censorship of research articles containing words that allude to the existence of sexual and gender minorities (as well as women, which should not be ignored either). Comparisons can be drawn to the destruction of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft at the hands of the Nazis. Queer books, research, data, and the like was burned en masse, setting the community back for likely at least one hundred years. This administration is directly taking tactics used by the Nazi Party; the banning of books, words, terms, and articles referring to our community is a tactic of a regime that thrives on a pre-Modernist denial of rationality and an action that effectively states that queer people have no history or science, making it easier to systematically erase us entirely.
My Bluesky post on this here:
this is nazi shit. they are trying to scrub any remnant of queer science or history. it’s reminiscent of the destruction of the institute for sexual science at the hands of the nazis. do not comply. do not accept this as normal.

More is to come, once I have the time.

Marriage Equality
A tracker page will be linked here soon, with other information being hopefully embedded.

Transphobia
On March 24th, 2025, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth openly mocked a U.S. District Judge after she attempted to block the Trump Administration's efforts to ban transgender people from serving in the military. Later that same day, a story would break revealing that Hegseth accidentally leaked top-secret war strategies to a journalist from the Atlantic. I bet that a transgender service member wouldn't have done that.
More is to come, hopefully.
