My Current and Planned Projects!
This page is currently under construction. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Okay. So. Massive update is needed as of May 2026. I am almost done with my three degrees (one, my Bachelors' in Spanish and Portuguese, is already completed!), and when I'm done with those, I will hopefully be pursuing a masters' degree in Hispanic Linguistics. I have a couple of months this summer with no coursework, and in that time, I'm hoping to start working on some electrical engineering and computer science projects (I have no experience! But I will learn!). Some of my former projects are still on the table or finished, I just have to give y'all some updates.
My Brazilian Decolonial Studies research is, for the most part, done. As part of that, I took part in workshops dedicated to museum curation, label writing, and accessibility while keeping decoloniality in mind. Now, on May 30th 2026, as I type, I am about to fly out to Lisbon and live there for a month! I will be visiting museums, meeting with local politicians, and getting an idea of how Portugal as a country is making up for its colonial past. Hopefully, if I have time, I can write a blog post about it when I'm back in the states!
Now, here are some of the side quests I have that remain:
- Making a synthesizer and sound setup so that I can make music and DJ (!!!!!!!!!)
- Making a cyberdeck equipped with the software and tools necessary for linguistic analysis
- Publish short stories and poetry
- Create an interactive sound visualizer that can be implemented on this website (might be too ambitious! But we will see...)
- My philosophical essays
- Possible WSET certification (but only a level 2 or so, unless I need it for jobs)
- Language and translation certifications
- Teaching and technology-related microcertificates
I have a lot of stuff planned. My only hope is that I will have the time and spoons to make sure the website keeps up with me.
My Critical Essays on Substack!
I've been drafting some critical and theoretical essays in my spare time. The problem is that I need to read more theoretical sources to interact with, most notably "The Master and His Emissary" by Iain McGilchrist (a lovely lovely book that I recommend, but damn, it is dense...). Because of this, I've been making more progress with my prose than my essays. I've had many wonderful ideas that I need to follow through on, which include:
- An essay on what I call "mardism" (on the usage of theatrical aesthetic multiplicity as a form of knowing oneself)
- An essay titled "The Brick No One Dare Throw" (on over-abstraction and the prioritization of meaningless discourse over innovation)
- An essay titled "The Song All Must Sing" (on the loss of biological instinct and animal nature)
- And more to come. Hopefully...
My Substack can be found here. You should totally definitely subscribe to my newsletter so that you can get email updates for when these essays are published. Also I need a readerbase desperately.
